Unspoken Desires

I've thought of a million ways to tell you.

Grand gestures that are silly.

Speeches that no one will ever hear.

Plane tickets that I’ll never buy.

I want to bear my soul, but it's pathetic.

My heart is set on you, but for now, I have to go my own way.

from your words, I gather that you are a very strong willed person. a person of conviction who has personal rules that she doesn't break.

Obviously you’re good there, it’s aptly titled. “Speeches that no one will ever here.” If that’s not part of the human experience you’re probably not doing it right. Excellent work capturing that longing.

Hyperbole is a figure of speech that makes something seem larger. The first line says,
"I've thought of a million ways to tell you",
Hyperbole used to exaggerate a truth. It expresses strong emotion, emphasis a point or even evoke humour.
