A Town in Greece

After my mother died
but before her things
were scattered about,

some of these belongings
may have stopped whispering
what they were saying about her

But some continued to speak
of a light summer breeze off the coast,
sunlight shining just so
through a dusty shop window,
beckoning her

Hello, Michael,
Your poem was lovely before your revisions, but the title change adds so much. It is like watching a visit between you and your mother in this very special place that she must have dearly loved. Another precious piece.

the archeology of a person's life can be so emotional. I have little things of my mother's that still speak to me about who she was. Excellent! ~ Geezer.
