Thankful

What of the
farmer
who harvested
my potato?

May his bounty
be given to him
so easily as mine.

Geezer

think about where their food comes from, or care about how the farmer that harvests the crops is doing. Sounds as if it might be a simple prayer before eating that potato. ~ Geez.

That makes you pause. We really don't consider the work that goes into the food we eat before we get it and that this is how some make a living by providing goods for us to survive on. Well done.

Yes, from farm to table takes a lot of work, and a lot of people - to whom I am very grateful!

A simple prayer that the bounty of the harvest is shared by all. Sadly, in the US, that is not always the case, as small farmers are becoming a thing of the past. Here's wishing that your wish for him comes true.

Yes...it takes just a moment to think about, and give thanks to the people who feed us. So many!

It's so convenient to purchase food without thinking it had to be grown / harvested before it reached us. Where would we be without those who dedicate their livelihood (sometimes uncertain) to us?
