the tender heart
please, don't see me
the way I am today
my heart hasn't changed
my soul is the same
and the little boy of five
is still alive inside
somewhere
the tender heart
please, don't see me
the way I am today
my heart hasn't changed
my soul is the same
and the little boy of five
is still alive inside
somewhere

Hi there!
Good one.
Alid
Joe
For ever young, lovely to see you grasp that our thoughts don't age , it is only our actions that change our outlook.
We shall all return as children, and find our own level in the way of things,
Yours, Ian
Joe
The child within us stays alive, especially when one reminisces about those years, some of joy some of nightmares. I still get nightmares once in a while about not completing my Journal which is to be submitted to the teacher next day..lol..
A nice crisp poem. I enjoyed it.
