A TASTE OF SALT

Some people don't have much to do
and I'm about to prove that's true
in this tale about a learned buddy
a statistician named McGillicuddy.

Not long ago he got to thinkin'
'bout dinosaurs and all their drinkin'.
To be sure that his facts weren't wrong
he called Asian paleontologist, Fong .

How long did dinosaurs hold sway ?
How much water did they drink each day ?
and during their long domination
what was their average population ?

Now that he had the facts to start
he immersed himself in math's cold art
using equations, numbers and chaos theory
he worked until he became weary.

He calculated all the water on earth
including in the sea's vast girth.
The result of his research is this:
we all drink recycled dino-piss.

a hearty hardy har har from me!
(and a rather porcine snort for good measure)

i always feel as if i've stumbled upon a hidden gem
when i come across a well conceived, well written
humorous verse

i'd love to know the inspiration for this ...
(what WERE you thinking? ...oh, to be inside your head)

terrific rhyme and meter, and a fabulous title for this poem!

cheers

Nothing but echos in my head lol. Inspiration was a study I read once where a person actually calculated approx. how much an average dinosaur drank per day. he then multiplied by average population of said at any given time then he multiplied by length of dinosaurs' reign. He next calculated the amount of water, fresh and salt, on earth today. This resulted in the conclusion that all water on earth had passed through a dinosaur at least TWICE. Boring enough for you?.......................scribbler

the good thing about names is you can make one up to rhyme with anything lol. Appreciate your visit..............scribbler

yes I agree any DYNO piss
without salt
would be equally tasty
as proves your funny theory
but just tell me

after drinking bitter water
of all the oceans
how did the salt get accumulation
in the dyno-sores tummies
lol funny no
still lovely theory

we all drink recycled dino-piss.
