Stuck in the mud

I wish I was liked
I wish I was loved

I wish I was seen
as an angel from above

I'm more like a demon
hiding my horns

I'm stuck in the mud
I'm covered in thorns

why can't I be
like the normal girls

light colored hair
and covered in pearls

but I just sit here
stuck in the mud

wishing I was an angel
sent from above

Geezer

or woman, likes the flashy, brightness of a visual lure. There are some that prefer the understated beauty that is inherent in an unadorned person. I find that some of us are entranced by the plain beauty of what nature has wrought rather than covered up with artificial doo-dads and makeup. This is a simple poem, that appeals to the reader, with no fancy language. Nicely done! ~ Geezer.
