Protest marches
Sudden clashes
Memories of loved ones
All burnt to ashes
News of death all year round
Seems like we're all covered
In an unending dark cloud
Universities on strike
Prices of food on hike
Here we are struggling to survive
Politicians are out there rolling in their hive
Election is at hand
They're all renewing their brand
Not minding the pain and suffering
Brought to us while ruling
Bringing together innovative minds
Youths formulate ideas of their kinds
On solving the problems
Which all seem right
But the question is
"Are they up for the fight?"
Youths march on
Withstanding the obstacles
Pleading with the high and mighty
To give heed
And answer their plea.

Hello Kammy!
The Nigeria problem will remain insoluble if the electoral system remain manipulated. Even though endless prayers are being made is not going to move mountain because we keep retaining the same old politician to power.
dear Kammy,
you have legitimate concerns, and see things as they should be. being older doesn't make one wiser when they see through greedy power hungry eyes. they don't see how simple things could (should) be. but as long as there is life, there is hope. I wish you all the best in your fight to be heard!
*hugs, Cat
Hi Mr Cosmos!
Hi Mr Cosmos!
That's the simple truth of it all.
I am not even
a Nigerian. I am from republic of Biafra!
Hi Lady Cat!
Hi Lady Cat!
That's so true! There's always life and hope.
Thanks a lot!
I am pleased...
at the progress you are making in writing poetry. I realize that your country is having great difficulty and am hopeful that you and the young people that are coming up, will eventually gain control and become a truly great nation. If your youth are all as hard-working and determined to succeed as you are, I have no doubts. ~ Nice work, ~ Geezer.

Dear Mr Geezer,
Thanks a lot! You've all taught me well and I'll keep improving.
I hope things will get better for my country and normalcy will be restored.
