Miserably Happy

Soaring

Tommy was a rollin’ stone
way before he had a phone
in his pocket
Ports in storms
given or taken
Crime and grace
vary from face to face
Such is the case
from place to place
Can’t outrace the sun
Fun and pain
Soulful refrain
Train keeps a rollin’
Rails tied
To the earth,
Sea, and sky
Watch me fly -
My Barco lounger
Is not intimidated
By the farthest reaches
Beaches and bingo parlors
Diamond mine oppression,
Poverty of wealth
Confessions
Making the best of
The little you have,
gives birth to
tough as nails hearts
and
Fun and pain
Soulful refrain
Grains of revolution
Piled high
One tiny bit
Builds into
Serious geology.
Geology
All the worlds a stage
On which
Endless
Fun and pain and
Soulful refrains
Play out.
Bytes of bites
Now fly about—
Watch out
For the mountainside
Brothers and sisters

Geezer

Something I would expect to hear at a "Gathering". I think that I would delete the second " Fun and pain, soulful refrain between each of the verses, but other than that... All good. Like it lots! ~ Geezer.
