Section Fourteen (Study in Pink) Urilla Maure Detective

After Guy French talked with Anabel she revealed a clue, not mentioned.
Mackwill's behavior started me wondering more about the Mog
and Guy French's man chase, he said, resembled Fritzroy.

The Mog rumors made me wonder its existence because
Mackwill still has no memory of that rainy night with murder weapon in his pocket.
I talked to Mackwill's wife and his secret came to light when she left their home.

She found Fritzroy's favorite gum, Tutti-Frutti in his pocket.
Annabel, the unknown witness, saw it all when she, aka Jim,
caught Mackwell and Fritzroy's intimate moment.
They previously dumped the headless body on
Fleet Street behind Mackwell's restaurant.

John Creel's hotel room is where those two embraced their love.
There's a stench in the air. John Creel's customer's head she found.
Anabel covered her mouth to silence her scream, ran in fear.
Fritzroy waited for her to come. She left the scene undetected.

Barbara, I doubt if gum existed in 1888 ...other than that a good spin you have given to an already confusing situation lol..

Tutti frutti? I don't know. I don't worry about details like that and they give it color... get it? color?
I keep throwing 'em and they keep ducking.
So help me out here. Did we find the head? I'm a little confused. Somebody search Mackwill, find that knife and book him. I don't care if he's the killer. Book him for the crime. Mog needs to kill someone else. There is not enough "emotion" for him to feed off of.
Anabel... spill your guts to protect yourself!
These would be traditional story directions. It's okay to use classic storytelling techniques. Don't fear the tried and true, we have enough cooks that it won't stay traditional for long.
Barbara, tell me when to move this one.

I researched it. Gum was first commercially sold in 1848 and in 1888. A man name Adams sold gum called Tutti-Frutti http://www.fullissue.com/the-history-of-chewing-gum-and-bubble-gum.html. Interesting story. It brought back memories of my little sister chewing gum when i was in my early teens. She showed us the tree she got it from. So like the North American Indians we got our gum from the sap on the spruce tree in our yard and surrounding woods.

Well done, and as I had to, you have researched the era and found out about Gum as I did about the news papers, I was sad that the Financial Times only changed to Pink in the 1890's lol.
I noticed the gum now it's the state of the police that needs sorting, will look into it.
Good write, take care out there yours Ian.T
PS:- John Creel's customer found beheaded, I think he was Macwills customer ????

Let me see if I understand this, this is my interpretation, Anabel witnessed Mackwill and Fitzroy in an intimate moment? Gum serves as a useful tool to extract DNA but I know they didn't do that back in London in 1888. Good research.

Barbara Writes

Annabel Witness them in an intimate moment. The gum and wrapper Mackwell's wife found in his pocket is evidence he had relationship with the dead man. She gave the evidence to detective Maure. Everyone knows it his favorite gum. Thus the gum on her shoe same flavor.

but I know I'll be in trouble when my turn comes again. This is way, way way,way off the protagonist character in my head and its damn frustrating. I'm not really good with reinventing a character again and again or should I say add to the profile too much. Maybe I'll totally stop writing my character in my next turn and let others handle it. This is just too much. Gonna make my migrain worse, I tell ya. That's no joking matter.:(

lonlyhrtsclub13

Why don't you try working with one of the other characters? We have a whole cast and since you have been under the weather and finding this even more frustrating due to those circumstances, pick someone who hasn't been talked about much and develop them. I was a little concerned at first that they had Anabel in a sexual relationship with Fitzroy even though I made it clear that wasn't what was going on. Everyone will be surprised when they find out who Anabel really is. I also thought that Anabel was a suspect not a witness but she seems to be a little of both now. I will need to work with this as well.

Barbara Writes

Some characters have more than one role. The scene I didn't devolve wher fritzroy waited for her but she ,eft bc of her discovery. Why was she meeting maybe she had a reason to kill him but cut off guard by his intimate moment and creel's customer head. Lol just some thought floating.

lonlyhrtsclub13

I have a direction to take Anabel in that may surprise people, if they are not over the shock of her really being a man, I will say it has nothing to do with a sexual relationship....let the wheels turn...

wesley snow

Anything can happen to him.
So he was messing with that deviant Fitzroy and Mog possessed him. Mackwill killed him for no reason other than to feed on the emotional energy of Mackwill killing his lover. Mackwill didn't even know he had done the deed, so the only thing Mog is feeding on is Mackwill's fear that he's done something horrible without knowing it.
Not enough for Mog.
Mog must strike again. Since Anabel saw the deed, but Mackwill doesn't know it she is not his target. However, Mog would know. She's already scared to death of something outrageous. She likely "saw" Mog in Mackwill's glowing red eyes and recognized him from her past. Mog will chase her now. Not because he's afraid of her, but because she's afraid of him. This is the emotional energy he is seeking.
The man who ran from Guy? Who is he? I have no clue. Somebody better find a clue.
You're up Geez.

I didn't connect that idea to the story

died. Perhaps it is a character no one has talked about yet or one that hasn't been thought of. For those of us who live in chaos, this story is getting more interesting by the minute. If Fitzroy is still alive, then someone else lost their head. We know that he and now Mackwill are sexually involved, Mackwill's wife finds out about this, perhaps Fitzroy was encountering some other individual in the darkness and Mackwill's wife mistook him for her husband and slit the wrong guy's throat, Fitzroy takes off and that is where we come up with the next dead body. Anabel, has a few tricks up her sleeve, she isn't as afraid as you think....

Barbara Writes

And given their critique of suggestions or addition I may need to consider. Wes, its ready to be moved to thread. Te dead guy may be a new character or character already mentioned if any is left. Either way Wesley says the body isn't fritzroy so it got to be somebody, any ideas.

Ask Fitsroy, he has left a body behind that in stature resembles his, while he and Mackwill's wife are away to have a damn good time, (No Head) the body may or may not have been supplied by me, J Creel to disgrace the hotel LOL, I told him he was finished in this city.
Thank you Mog, how many of you thought he wasn't real,
Yours Creel.
PS:- Mog is short for Morgan a man of the night who will do anything without question lol, he has an identical twin and they are both evil, just ask Geezer..
