With those big brown eyes
and strawberry fired hair
sweet innocence as on
a summer's day fair
You visit grandma and grandpa
with lee luke and charlotte
brothers and sister you play
have such a wonderful day
You all go play hide and go seek
all turns dark all so bleak
in a blink of an eye
you are taken away
we cannot sleep
we only weep
All turns cold there's
a chill in the air
The gentle breeze flows
through your lovely hair
we searched all day
and so many nights
such dispare
Darkness falls
Sarah's soul now
takes flight
Into the deepest
darkest night
Plucked lika a flower
blooming in the fields
Stained blood red
where poppies now yeald
Sarah now flies
like a little butterfly
She flitters here
She flitters there
her laughter fills
the air
A gentle breeze
flows through your hair
with sunlight shinning
Your big brown eyes
like diamonds shine
With fresh roasey cheeks
of natures's sweet elfin child
laughing and dancing
a heavenly delight
Forever young
this angel child
With gosama wings
of coloured silk
so light so bright
Mama,
you will feel me as on a summer's day
I will caress your sweet face
with an elfin kiss so that
you can make a wish
Sarah

Dear Maggie,
A beautiful poem and tribute for a bright little spirit. What happened to her is appalling!

Thank you friend i just cried through the tears i just had to write this.
It was not meant to rhyme it was just a statement of feelings for a beautiful spirit

I have got to agree,
I have got to agree with Cat, but i'm angered that the person who could commit such a crime still lives, the law was made by polite men not fathers or mothers of murdered children.

Ian it is so sad re madalaine I too blame the parents for leaving her alone but i pray that she is alive and well and being looked after.
As for sarah it is tragic that lee ran from the corn fields to the lane to see the white van pass him and the driver waving at him unknown that his sister sarah was held captive in the vehicle he saw drive away never to be see again.
always you kind words refresh me
thank you
maggie

Maggie...
how you have grown, poetess! your words flow, unrestricted, dark and beautiful. it is good to read you again and I admire this, for subjects such as these take a great amount of strength to write about.
we cannot sleep we only weep - these two lines have the simplicity of a nursery rhyme and yet they are so powerful in the emotion they carry.
I truly enjoyed reading this poem, Maggie.
love from here,
your Proprietress
