Refugees and Refuters:

Babies bred not on their ancestral ground
Yet children of conflict and conflicted
Some fare well although many welfare bound
Their lives constrained and future afflicted

Those responsible for instigation
Refuting population exodus
Refusing blame for the conflagration
While decrying the refugee influx

Generations of constant outsiders
Alien to birthright and human rights
Victimized by war and by inciters
No safe vision staring at the gun sights

Torn families striven by varied goals
Some settle down in their adopted land
While the rest are unsettled by Life’s tolls
Clinging to memories of their homeland.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: There are no solutions currently to the plight of the refugees in many instances. The only solution is to apply intense pressure on the rogue leaders who are responsible for creating the chaos, confusion and war crimes to back down and be held accountable for war crimes. In, Lebanon, Somalia, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Myanmar and now in Yemen, the democratic, developed and disinterested nations are silent spectators who do not want to get involved and do not censure the controlling regimes that are literally getting away with massacres.
