Reflections in rhyming haiku, limerick and freeform.

A dull sea's soft sigh
under a lowering sky
the black dog slinks by

There is a mad poet from Oz
who says it is mostly becoz
he's a left-handed geek
and a bipolar freak
and don't know what's now and what woz

Other people's dreams are boring
so I'll spare you the details
suffice to say
I started this day
not drifting in the grey void of pain
again.

I woke to the sunrise
and, to my utter surprise,
suffused with joy.
For the very first time
that I can ever remember
leapt up to greet the day

Loved the last piece, does this mean you have walked with reality of yourself.
Great to know that you woke up to a great day.
I like the way you have written these and I am not going to look for faults as if there are any they would mean nothing.
Take care young Elf and journey on, Yours Ian..

I suspect this is only a reprieve.
I'll tell you the dream. I led a migration of elves, dwarves, hobbits and dearly departed friends to Sydney's Manly Beach where we partied, hugged, ate and drank. I felt more connected than hugging a loved one wide awake. Very lucid.

All things from Hobbits to elves, as you have made them so they are, just like my Dragons.
That you have had that party and joined those people, and mythical creatures is great, I hope the feelings were better than great.
That you spent time with them is good, it is just a precursor of what you believe, as you think around.
I know I go on such a lot but it is important to some.
We lost our dear Sister in law and it was her memorial service yesterday, things at my age change so fast, it was my memories birthday yesterday 71 years I have been aware of many things, yet only in the last 15 have I been able to rest in the knowledge of which way is up.
You take care and have those parties I will come and join you if you wish,
Yours as always, Ian

The whole piece was more positive than your normal fare, and made me smile! I especially enjoyed the last two stanzas. All in all, a very nice write!
