Reaching out...

Meteoric silver streaks
In a licorice black sky
An orange flavored moon
Rests on the horizon

Tap, tapping the keys
Awaiting a reply
Communion brings pleasure
Alone nights are long

Magnetic personalities
The attraction is strong
Pulling my mind
Fingers pushing words

Silent voices riding electrons
Charged with emotion
Making music to my eyes
The lone wolf howls

About This Poem

Last Few Words: This is a rewrite of something I wrote long ago. Something that I'm pretty sure I posted before "The Crash". I lost a lot of stuff back then, because I was dumb and didn't back up. This one was something that I just happened to put to paper; as I wrote things [in long-hand on paper!] when I wasn't near my computer. I found it and spruced it up a bit and thought I would post it to see how it does today.

Style/Type: Free verse

Review Request Direction: What did you think of my title?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?

Review Request Intensity: I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back

I thought this is a well depicted piece. Each line and stanza is rich with imagery. I can see myself and my other friends and of course can relate to it.
Thank you for sharing.

I wrote this quite while ago, but feel that it merits posting again. There are many people that have never seen it and... ~ Geezer.

I've got some more somewhere, just need to keep digging and see if they hold up under today's scrutiny. I miss the camaraderie of those days. The chats and the time spent in each other's company in the long nights. But now, we have messenger and group chats, so maybe we can make it happen again. Thanks for the read and comment. ~ Gee.

I wonder how much support we will get for a Chat on the Darkside resurrection? We could totally do it on FB chat! ~Gee.
