No Matter What!
his youth was
still upon him,
although he knew it not.
when things
got a bit rough
he drew a hit of pot.
it didn't
make him wiser
confusing him instead
sitting
at the drawing table
when he should have gone to bed
not considering
any different, he knew he was right
refusing to reconsider other choices
he locked out
reason pounding in his ears
hearing only their exaggerated voices.
righteous indignation,
was his sword and shield
they held him through the night,
he knew he could win
his passion moved him on
he lost the battle, but he would win this fight

Hmmmm...
The title is a bit long, but your rhyming is pretty good.
I like the tercet form and think that I should do it
every now and then. I don't think that you need the extra [ed]
on shield. Pretty good theme. ~ Geez.
.
thanks Geez,
appreciate it!

Sis,
as Gee said, good rhyming scheme, also it doesn't feel forced.
All the eddy pieces feel like another chapter of his book...talking of which when is Styx III coming out? I want a whole shelf of STYX books!

One.
dear One,
thank you for reading and responding...I got the idea from a friend who's daughter and son-in-law who were quarreling.
