night vision not blindness

Darkness is not dark enough
You claim to have served in the Air Force
I presume you would have served
in darkness
and don't you recall,
after some time
one overcomes night blindness
and
one can see in to the dark sea,
as one can during broad day light

otherwise how do you say
owls see clearly at night,
they have no special night vision

the darker the night,
the clearer one sees

as you walk into your bathroom
you switch on no lights,
ere you become blind
once again for a while

so go back ole veteran
and recall
there is something known as
night vision after all
so don’t make any stories so tall.

I have been in places so dark that I fell over myself.
White outs or dark without visual aids (Not the sickness) there is a loss of being it is used sometimes as a brainwashing device.
Night Glasses are made to enhance what little light there is.
But when there is complete absence of light there is nothing you can do about it.
We had all sorts of detectors on the helicopters, you see some of them on the police chases.
But true absence of light is something different.
Good write though young Bard, just leave this old guy out of it lol.
