Fire a thousand salute for Neopoet
a ten thousand salute for our fallen heroes
though you've left suddenly like a gathering cloud
but your pen stands,
your comments fresh like the morning wine
your inspiration, your insight give births in our mind.

double a ten thousand salute for Neopoet
let the earthquake and heavens shake
poetry is our culture we live it
rivers of colours indeed, we are
in my next world bring me here
if i will die bury me here.

Passionate and well written, Chiori, but I have to admit I don't like reflexive Poetry. Poetry about poetry,, poetry about being a poet and especially about Neopoet.

Is like a heaven on earth I never will mind dying and been buried in it as well as others also does from there writing continues.

Your rhythm is exceptional with an easy flow and you have used nicely descriptive words. I tried reading it without the first line on each stanza and the verse was far more poignant. I know a few Nigerian writers and I agree, "poetry is our culture we live it". Perhaps you might change the title to something that reflects that.
