Can she just live forever. She's my best friend. You're not allowed to take her. She has to watch Dani grow up like she watched Trinity and I grow up. She needs to spoil Dani like she spoiled us. She needs to rub Danis face as she lays in bed with her at night. She needs to watch her grow up. She needs to see Trinity, Dani and I grow into beautiful women. She needs to get better. I love you with all my heart Nana. Kayla Marie

About This Poem

Last Few Words: this is a piece that my 15 year old neice posted to facebook today. Her grandmother ( my sister in law ) is actively dying from lung cancer. Dani is her new baby sister, Trinity her younger sister.I wrote is just the way she did, same format, etc. it is so sad. I told her I would post her ( prayer to my poetry site.

Nana will watch you grow

Nana will watch you grow there in the light of the angels, she will keep you so near little Dani.
There are things here we do not understand yet seem to feel.
If I think of them they draw near to see if all is well with me, sometimes I just send them love, and I feel their smiles, and feel as if they have touched me with their unconditional love.
I am now 72 and have not let them go, you will find me sometimes smiling and just know it is when they draw close to me.
There are many things we do not understand about our ways, but you just hold them and see.
