My Song is Very Real

Folly often takes sweet youth

down pathways somewhat, strange,

confusing everything 'till way off track;

I understand each lesson

has a universal rule,

but, there are many found in each & every stack!

It's resulted in one large lump

words do my throat, betray;

is there nothing that will thwart the powers that be?

I reckon we'll find quite enough

of the evidence it will take,

to convince fate it weren't you, & it weren't me.

Just be quiet & imagine

no such thing as, "all alone";

with concrete proof you're in the clear; as well.

Take it only as far

as you'd ever wish to roam;

or you could end up as the cause of your own, hell.

I've drank when I weren't thirsty

slept hard when I weren't tired;

can't count the days I weren't exactly, "pure";

But, I can recall very clearly

as can we "all", as well;

love, alone makes it possible to endure.

it doesn't take a genius

to realize he's wrong,

more than likely he'll be the first to know;

but, worry not my friend, don't fret

for the very likes of him;

he's too much weight for anyone to ever tow.

I hope with all I care for

I caused your mind to think;

or maybe caused your lonely heart to feel;

but, if I caused, but one pair of ears

to hear what I can't say'

they'd know without a doubt, my song is very, real.

...sometimes, (like maybe 5 times); I've used PART of a poem. Otherwise, it's like there aren't many who can relate.
Sincerely, thanx;
doc.
