My Saving Sea

Great ocean of uncertainty

What secrets do you hold?

What wonders have you spoken of

What lies have you told?

We sail so far without a clue

Beyond your dazzling shore...

To leave behind our fears and doubts

Hoping we find more.

What can save our wayward souls

From what we used to be?

All we’ve found from sailing far

Is that it cannot be the sea.

Hi ThisIsMe, I have not read your poems before. This one is haunting, makes one think. The title and content are interesting, I'm not sure about your final two verses. Maybe you can tell us. There's a fantastic book by Rachel Carson, called The Sea Around Us. Worth a read, along with her Silent Spring, which most everybody has heard of.
Spacing and all else is fine. All the best, Gracy
