MY CHURCH

They say that you can tell a lot
by the church someone attends.
If you like I'll take a shot
describing mine my friends.

The place I worship never closes
it's open twenty four/seven
it might make some turn up their noses
for me it's next to heaven.

Nobody cares what clothes I wear
whenever I go there to think
and I'm not made to join in prayer
or swallow any drink.

It' doesn't matter where I'm at
there's branches everywhere.
This is one of many things that
keep me going there.

My cathedral's full of filtered light
that varies day to day.
By moon, it'd dimly lit at night
when it's best you watch your way.

Entry is from any place.
no need for stairs or ramp
and muddy feet are no disgrace.
The floor is often damp.

Huge columns are random and varied
but all are stout and tall.
When I go there I'm never harried
although I feel quite small.

While there I've seem most everything,
comets and falling stars.
Deep silences that makes my ears ring.
I never hear loud cars.

By now I guess you've come to see
deep woods are where I pray.
There are few places I'd rather be
when it comes judgement day.

As with you my church is anywhere and stays with me 24-7..
Loved this piece it will give some the idea that the universe is eternal and that is where we belong no matter which piece we decide to use.
It is a place for each of us to be at peace with everything as we are here to learn and ask questions of the energy around us ,
Take care my friend your voice is heard where ever you are,
Yours as always Ian ..

I stopped going to regular churches long ago. Why go there when God already made us one? stay safe

Geezer

This is so you and I completely agree, there is no place I would rather be than in the arms of nature. Not a thing to crit, [well a little niggle], you need an [s] at the end of thing[s] in the fourth verse third line. ~ Gee.

So beautiful is nature
I too must stan say

You can keep walking
shall never lose your way

Coz half way into the forest
only one can go
the other half is getting out
scribbler nature worshipper
now through your poem all know
LOL

Be happy nature is totally free
I only see human and animal loitering most sensibly.

All know nature has the virus and cure
Which is now needed by all humans more
none other than nature that can assure

What do you expect me to say
