A Moment at Rest

I pushed aside the low brushwoods new
To find my peace there hidden from view
These many years since I returned to see
There waiting for me my favourite tree

Amidst a sea of emerald grass seen
A seat for me to sit and dream
These dreams to my mind shown
Normally touching my soul alone

I feel the presence of the years
My inner self releases its fears
Not tethered to a physical being
A free spirit climbing to places hidden

Gentle voices caress the day
It is you that have passed my way
Would that I could hold your form
Your essence will inward swarm

This place is there for all you know
It is that they just cannot let go
Your daily world is touchy real
It is with my Spirit here I feel

Write 2
.
Deep in thought
The Brushwood parted
My peace hidden there
My tree, my seat, just me

Emerald grass seas
Seated, my mind dreams
Thoughts streamed
Touching my soul

Past days flowed
Yesterday’s fears gone
Physicality abandoned
Free thoughts scattered

Caressed by inner voices
Gentleness passed by
If I could hold you
Saturated in your essence

A place held in us all
Clarity to find inside
Touchy feel, let it go
Be at peace with you

I prefer the gentler side from you and appreciate walking with your words!

Ian.T

For walking with me, this one was to me a little mild and I should have put more into it I will see what I can do the next time.
You take care down there, Yours Ian.T

The theme is appealing. I wish I could find that place.

You did a very nice job opening and closing out the poem. Truly enjoyed the read.

Thanks,

Scott

You live in a beautiful part of the world, you have more counties than us in the UK we only have 39 or that was the count when I was at school.
But you don't have to look far as the places I go as many poets, is held inside of us.
I know it is hard to find amidst the turmoil of life but it is there inside of you that special place is held, and nothing can touch it, it is what you make of it, a secret garden, a valley, a stream that you sit by, and many other places we hold.
There you can walk alone, or with anyone you wish to, it is your own think place and will hold you always..
Take care out there it is a hard world, but inner peace prevails,
Yours Ian.T

I like both writes though I am partial to write 2, you took me with you, the feelings and peace surrounded me with the words, fogged in a peaceful place

Lovely to see you there at the window, reading the ways of life as it passes you view.
I had a few dark writes with Gee and his badness killer, but I found the change, gave more breadth to other pieces.
Can't stay in the same groove all the time lol..
Spring is slow to come here this year, but it will make it all the more better.
The fields needed the rest and the Winter wheat is doing fine I think lol
You take care out there, My thoughts as usual, Yours Ian.x
