The Long Walk

My parents went for a walk
into the garden full of multi coloured rose
and saw many other kinds also I suppose

They smiled and smelled the fragrance
when at home they decided to programme
a unique one
I am perhaps the result of that one day's episode
around the globe
many others also similarly shed their robe

I then walked for miles in a similar way
composing
no not more poetic roses
but life's kilometric ways

I have walked the globe by land, sea and air
and to me all lives seemed seemingly fair

All roses spread their fragrance too
till lovers some one
placed them in library books

I am also waiting my turn
who will be plucky to kiss me
Goodbye
as in the hearts of a lover's poem book
I finally lie
as in lay
as life finally ebbs away
come forward that day
now any day
it may
I wait that glorious day
