Little Victories

Following up with my doctor
with an online message
…this is good, that’s still a problem…

Sharing all the little embarrassments
as we often must, with those
who’ve taken the Hippocratic oath

While composing my missive
I let out a shout of triumph
startling my wife, just a bit

“What is going on?”, she asked
“I spelled diarrhea correctly!”, I quickly replied,
“Without spell-check underlining the word
with that damn judgmental red line!”

you made me snort my coffee!!! I really like surprises that make me laugh! kudos to you and your wife. a good sense of humor is the glue that holds a marriage together. I have a weird sense of humor, but keeping my husband, Steven laughing is my pride and joy! may you and your wife be well.

Thank you Cat, and sorry about spoiling your coffee - LOL! We are kindred spirits, it seems, when it comes to what we see as important in a relationship.

Cheers

this one made me audibly laugh. I love the tone, and I like how the last line brings home the confession metaphor, or maybe im reading into it.
