Insane Normality

Don't fit me in your form
For i'm far from the norm
Don't try to contain
All that's in my brain
This normality,
makes us insane
In a mad world,
only the mad are sane

This gives me a smile, was it your intent?
No critique . I've enjoyed the thought and the insight :)

That we are all mad could probably answer a few questions, the fact that you question this state, means that you are far from reaching that state lol.
But give it time say at least another 50 years then once again question if you should join the old people that walk around with a silly grin on their faces saying hello to everyone lol.
Take life and live it, if it bothers you just change direction until you are too old to be able to, Yours Ian.T

but this has all been said before. Originality is critical to poetry.

Don't get me wrong, your thoughts are valid, and well written.

The Rain Sprite

Face the reality and live in the monochromatic flow of society. Wear black and white instead of red and blend in. But I like the image of seeing red amidst the grayness of normality.
You sound like a rebel but that's the very thing that makes those who are "mad", unique right?
