I was lucky

You know what?
I was a wanderer with a penchant,
A hankering, and an inclination to write.
It never matter much before today.
Just lost words transmitted into thin air,
Like drying hieroglyph figments
unveiling themselves within my mind.

A weary hitchhiker sifting through the internet highway.
I was lucky to have found Neo poet,
A storage house for my inner most,
It is becoming as dear as
The closeness I have to my notebook.

It’s features I want to explore,
So far helpful and multi dimensional in scope.
Submit poems and compete in contests,
Every month the range of topics is always unknown.

The most obscure and remotest,
Are the hardest and take much focus,
But in the toll of writing those are the ones I want to implore you to take the most notice and see me as I become a writer.

The rhyme scheme or relation to its prompt,
Transforms and unbeknownst adds depth to the writer’s arsenal.
What I like most of all
Is how captivated and pure the feedback is among friends.

The loudest cheering section goes to all of us.
All of us with the courage,
To seize this opportunity,
To enrich, and empower our pen.
Neopoet, we honor you and thank you.
For growing a shared and beloved space.
We are truly the lucky ones.

to have our very own cheering section! I don't believe we have ever had a poem devoted entirely to Neopoet.
You have listed many reasons to be a Neo. fan. We do have many people here that will leave comments and critique as ones that wish to see our poets improve and become better in whatever form they care to write in. Hopefully you will have many hours of writing and gathering useful information to help you become better in your efforts. ~ Geezer.

this tribute to Neo and the folks here. I also feel lucky for Neo and
people like yourself. Who make such a warm and communicative
place to express ourselves.
