Hwy Ð[Ñ Revisited

Arrogance with a hubris chaser,
a classic recipe for tragic events
that never had to be.
The day after regret
for
deciding that your kind
is the only kind
that deserves a place in the sun.
Hoarders are not happy,
they are afraid.
Riddled with self doubt,
fooled by slaps in the face,
some grow angry and
start to believe they are weak.
Don’t they know that everyone of us
has felt that sting?
Don’t they know that
everyone’s strength comes and goes?
Shame is a cruel test for girls and boys,
women and men.
It can make us do
all sorts of things
to our fellow beings———-
———-Beyond a gentle discipline, be easy on yourself
my loves.

my favorite line. "Arrogance with a hubris chaser" Next is the one; "The day after, regret". There have been a few times, when I have had time to reflect on something I have said to or about someone and regretted it later. Sometimes, only hours later or even once. minutes. I went back to apologize and found that the person was gone, and I would never see them again. I still think about it now and then. I guess my regret, will follow me to the end of my days. A nicely written reminder, to think before you speak, you may never be able to right a wrong! ~ Geezer.

Thanks for your comments. I get a fair amount of inspiration from the mistakes I have made over and over.
Here's to being human!
The enduring value of kind thoughtfulness gets less boring everyday.
