You kept me hidden in your heart
As we constructed our love, our art
We were dreamers and lovers, fighters and spies
But I remember once you awoke from a dream
You looked so deep into my eyes
Pulling me closer you said in my ear, “I am home”

There was this memory
I cherished so deep:
The first time I saw you
In colors so green
You hair blew in the wind
Your smile a mile wide
And when I saw your eyes
I wanted to crawl inside
Get into your mind
And sing you my heart
Tell you all my memories
So you would know me from the start
And I can’t imagine
A life alone without you again

Some sunsets hang forever
As if they were still a memory
We were watching it fall over the bay
You were sitting next to me
Our hands in there usual ways
Among the purples and reds and yellows
I adored your loving eyes
You could hold me forever in them
And I would never leave
I knew in that moment, and every moment since
That I would love you forever,
I was home

This is a beautiful piece written, I guess to someone that is a part of you.
Keep hold of those lines, words and thoughts, they are precious.
