Hanging in an Orchard Glade...

Hanging in an Orchard Glade…

They had a life till evil came along,
places to go, things to see and admire.
Both dreamt of lovers, of a gentle song,
instead they have their funeral pyre.

No other animal does this to it's kin,
yes they’ll fight when hungry for food.
As far as I’m concerned they win,
when battling man for common good.

These girls just happened to be there,
upon this same earth as you and I.
Then the imbeciles laid them bare,
two young lives hung out to die.

I have an anger, no a bloody rage,
makes writing this an easy task.
Read the words upon this page,
help find justice, it’s all they’d ask.

If I could dish it to the gang,
I’d make each cut just deep enough.
Then ignore them as they sang,
as I experiment with other stuff.

Can they not comprehend a mothers grief,
one cry’s, she's raised a murdering son.
Another’s life has pain beyond belief,
that she can’t hold her lovely one.

No more sun to feel upon their face,
or moonlight walk with besotted boy.
Two young girls so full of grace,
no longer beats their hearts with joy.

To die on a dusty orchard floor,
was this to be their only fame.
Bright young beauty nevermore
man, we all should feel the shame.

Strong write as always. Subject leaves me angry and speechless. Perhaps that is part of the problem, speechless, that is.

Thank you Scott, it is something that goes on with little opposition in some countries. The females life is worthless to some. Regards Roscoe...
