HALLOWEEN OCT 2021 CONTEST was it read

They asked me to write about
HALLOWEEN
I asked
what the
QUEEN
all laughed

Now the real
witch I saw yesterday
took many hearts away
was but a natural one
tall dressed like a blown up witch
had a dark black hay wired switch
her legs showed
a black torn shabby stocking.

her hubby held her hand
and
led the way
lest she'd run away

then somewhere
she landed from her cart
asked
is he dead yet

No they all gave a loud yell
but she was delaying the show

she brought long bananas
there was no need of
he loved juicy mangoes
and lovely peaches
she said that's long ago
he hadn't seen one
standing in ages
so she wanted him to see
before he did flee

but what about juicy ones
I'm going along said she

take some squeezers
said the widow to be
dried up you too may be

a shriek was heard loud
one
has he gone
no one her heard
