I love
taking my folks on a merry go around
not like in a circus
but
Universe
then I see all along with them
and
show what they could not see
imagery is my forgery
and
so I can't conceal
they enjoy all thrills
and their pills
and
I enjoy paying for them
such are poetical emotions
we are passed the age of delivery
our grand children are now up to it
they very well now know
if they forget the
night after Pill
then gran'pa will foot the bill
happily
as we will help him live to be
a greater one
be happy
great- grand papa
ye
will call they
thee
our kids
yours g'cees

some very nice passages
I happen to be reading "the Poetic Image", a great book of essays by the poet C. Day Lewis, a very honest and fun read about the subject. This is one of his themes, done in poetry:
imagery is my forgery
and
so I can't conceal
they enjoy all thrills
and their pills
and
I enjoy paying for them
such are poetical emotions
Great stuff! I do get a bit led off track by "age of delivery" which I don't really understand, nor the whole stanza about grandpa picking up the bill for the pill...(what, does the grand kid need an abortion?)
But the quoted stanza for me makes up for it all.
I have never known nor read Lewis
imagery is my forgery
and
so I can't conceal
they enjoy all thrills
and their pills
and
I enjoy paying for them
such are poetical emotions
Sir
these r my minds own creativity ..Am happy as you equate me with some greater poet LEWIS
and
as far as ''delivery'' one goes
aged parents now can't produce another progeny
and modern ones are not caring/BOTHERING
not using condoms or pills
which they must
to satisfy daily lust
just a message
they'd apply
minds
thanks for your generosity
