When men are on a prowl
they see and find vulnerable women
and
transfix eyes
and
lock smiles
Then they elope
and
the world smiles
So don't look into eyes
of gals and guys
all say you will land up
in a nightmare
one day
some day
if not today
so stare not into my eyes
I shall fly with my best friend
the wind
and
all then will say
''GONE WITH THE WIND...'''
Comments
not all eye contact leads to special room in house
some are into that and more
good eye contact and self confidence
is good...men like women are on the
hunt ..like that old duran duran song...
but avoiding somes eye contact is
good...brilliance and madness fired
up in some
over all a good poem

coming from esker
after all
gone with the wind, Ernest Dowson
I recently learned about this poem, from which your title comes, by Dowson, 19th century English poet, about a girl friend of his, Cynara.. one stanza:
I have forgot much, Cynara! gone with the wind,
Flung roses, roses riotously with the throng,
Dancing, to put thy pale, lost liliies out of mind;
But I was desolate and sick of an old passion,
When I awoke I saw the dawn was grey,
I have been faithful to thee, Cynara! In my fashion.
seems like you were tapping the same idea.
Nice poem, Thanks
great of you
thank you
I have been gone
with the wind too
GONE WITH THE WIND
WILL RETURN AS A HURRICANE

thanks for your kind maiden visit
dear loved,
this poem tells us much...a deeper insight into your psyche. and makes me feel that you are a fragile flower, to be cared for and admired! I loved the construct of this piece! great ending, too.
