Go To The Graveyard but Whisper

If with your living hand
a flush melody all aces
you would wash the moss
from my stone l should blush,
blinking. My face has color now,
they whisper. Look. Sit with me
this one time, eyes lit with floral
moons. I have a suit and money,
quarters like moons over my eyes.
Can I have all of you for a moment?
Come closer. Look. Hear the dead choir,
ill, wailing; pick the ivy orbs, leave
a holly trail. Fear nothing. My face
has color now.

Great title, one that almost demands
a read.
Very moving for me, loss is tremendously
heavy and a visit to a grave an emotional
train ride ...

thank you for sharing.

It is truly moving as Moonman has said but in my opinion the end line "Fear nothing my face has color now" say a lot more than those few words...

I do think I get it as the speaker of the poem is the dead reaching out to the living giving a visit. I think that is why there are graves and stones so the living can talk to the dead. Glad it put some color on your face. Also like the floral moon and eyes image. ..
