GAZING INTO THE EAST!

GAZING INTO THE EAST!

Standing on the shoreline
Gazing into the east
Hearing the guns
It has all come undone
The dismantling of peace
The enemies dance
In the vertigo of trance
And await the final directive
Have we lost all perspective
As billows of smoke
Rise from the tumult
The plow shares have been
Beaten once more into swords
And the armies refuse to hold position
The spiritually minded
Now look to the sky
Praying for some form of redemption
But an escape is unveiled
For all who think and feel
After Him who was chosen to be king
The time is at hand
Who will be left to stand?
All those found
Gazing into the east!

Turning the plow shares into swords reminded me of the drive for production of weapons during WW2, but your pleas for peace are those that are prayerfully uttered during every war that's been in existence.

A thought provoking poem, I loved it.

The enemies dance in the vertigo of trance, made me think of the rage some feel going into war. The need for revenge.

I could go on and on but this is brilliant I don't see anything I'd change

Kind regards Seren
