Flashes

whoa! I just figured it out

I know why you think I'm unhappy
...it's because I'm never happy when you're around

funny, how that works!
..........................................

have you ever thought, when trying to fall asleep,
"I should count some sheep?"
.........................................

if a stupid person just said what you said
I'd say "well, he's just stupid"
for the love of me, I can't figure out why you said it...unless....
........................................

the way things are going,
being a happy, shiny person
may one day be considered
a psychiatric disorder
.............................................

when you get to heaven,
you'll probably want to reunite with your parents
as a family
but your father went to reunite with his parents
and your mother with hers
your grandparents did the same
as did theirs parents before them
and on and on
and so forth
ad infinitum

better cancel your reunion plans
seems even heaven has no lack of disappointments

Geezer

I would call a poem, but amusing to say the least! I enjoyed this on a particularly dull, drab afternoon while eating my lunch of meatloaf sandwich and coffee. I had pause for thought and realized that the only ones that might be there to greet me, would be my dogs. Although they may be off chasing cats or something. Funny stuff, thanks! ~ Geezer.

with so much same ol' same ol' going around, I figure why not post something a little different once in a while... no one has to read or reply if they don't want to...anyway, that's my rationale...

We are close enough geographically to share the same weather patterns quite often, like today...bleakly grey and soggy

don't worry, there may be a great turnaround, where the great, great ,greats, all the way back turn back to greet their kids resulting in one gigantic gargantuan reunion of every living( I mean dead) person that made their way to heaven...dogs included!

glad this non- poem amused you...my only intent

thanks Gee

Hello All,
I enjoyed you write. It is a very windy night promising a big change of weather.
I don't care much because I like any kind of it as soon as it is something different.
I like your thoughts about reunion. In fact, we don't have to wait until we die. We do carry their genes and basically the same as our ancestors, we don't have the same memories but we don't really remember much about our own life anyway. Our bodies renew every atom once in seven years, the only common thing connecting different stages of person's life are genes and they are very similar to the ones your ancestors had.
It is a misleading illusion that we die once.
We die many times or never.
