A fiery plea

Along the lines
of silk
and satin.
Lies the world
all failed and flattened .
Forgetting all
worldly cares
they frantically
fling out
flares .
Emitting
into the raspy air
a fiery plea .
“ don’t
leave me “

Not sure what your real name is but I saw that using the E from Edward & Nigma as a second name creates - E nigma? I like that!

Great theme, well delivered & punched out into the open.

Stay safe

Another amazing piece from the mind of E.nigma ! I admire your tenacity in writing while engaged in a battle that would have most people giving up. One thing I would suggest is that you exchange the word fleet for fling. Keep writing, I look forward to your work. ~ Geez.

well I was inspired by the old song we’ll have Manhattan by Lorenz hart

Lorenz hart often rhymes erratically like in the song it says .
I have a cozy little flat in
what is known as old Manhattan .
