i can literally feel letters, words, sentences fighting their way through and across my mind
searching for an outlet, also searching for emotions to define them
do i dare wake the sleeping demons?
do i dare go deeper than this?
do i dare search for these emotions
when i find them - because eventually i will- and i turn them into words, will you think i am crazy?

that depends...
I really enjoyed the process in the brain that produces the deepest self awareness to be honest in poetry, while in control of the "craft". The question of course is rhetorical, and I look forward to seeing your poems! I will gladly be honest and tell you whether to see a shrink, commit yourself altogether, or just join the union of poets, a very small percent of surreal creatures living in the alleys or in the caves, scribbling messages on the wall.
Hello,
Welcome to the site! Sharing poetry and
comments can be like inviting others in to
see the knotty middle of your mind, but you
find it too ... enjoy it.
An impressive first post, Sewie,
and one all poets can relate to.
Here you can share without fear of being judged. Dylan Thomas referred to "my art and sullen craft". Us Australians just call us "a weird mob" [smiles]. Anyway, welcome to Neopoet.

Well a stitch in time saves nine, as the hairy Kookaburra walks in the moons light, with a dyslexic Emu, now a Sparrow cheeps his tired voice..
Welcome to Neopoet, and I hope you can spend many hours with us crazies here..
Yours Ian. (Sparrow, yenti or Ian T)
