Eternity

The bright sun of morning is shining in my waking eyes
As I peer out into the clear blue yonder,
Hoping against hope that my wildest dreams will come true,
And that I might see my angel looking down on me
From the celestial dome of the sky so far away;
Surely it is to a better place you have gone, my love?
You have been called away from this wretched earth
Maybe you are gazing down on me from above right now?
I know I am meant to live in this wicked dark world
Where love, innocence and truth are scorned by many.
O sweet immortal deities, let me not be abandoned by cruel destiny,
Let me see once again her lovely face and kindly smile,
For she was truly an angel sent to me from up above.
I am alone now and my love sleeps forever in peace,
And it is only in my sad dreams that we are together,
Until Death comes to reunite us in far off Eternity.

This poem is truly spiritual and does possesses the energy that moves the soul closer to its eternal destiny. From all indications, a great loss you have suffered; and I can relate to every one of these soothing lines, having suffered three losses a few months ago. However, I truly sympathize with you and pray God will grant you the strength to weather through the storms of life until you reunite with your loved one in the bliss of eternity. Thanks again.
