To seek nothing from you,
or your treasures;
to be just near to you
is close enough,
a match for elysium
or the very heaven that I lack.
While the world without, dissembles and burns;
and its vortices around turn, turn,
without heed, indifferent to these
two little lights below.
Seek illumination with me,
take me with you,
I will go.
You lead with your soft
arpeggio,
Your notes, like drips of promises
from leaves;
sensing the need of thirsting animals
beneath.
Your sound so sweet, enticing, lovely-
on the only path they’ll ever know.
Seek humanity with me people,
touch me, I will follow.

The Tasmanian Poet
Good write and it flowed well, good to see you here again.
There is only one place that I would query and ask for you to edit that is the lines:-
While the world without, dissembles and burns;
and its vortices around turn, turn,
I would have the break after without, then move the and to between the two turns, or just leave the and out all together..
Take care out there and know we do listen and read as we can.
Yours as always Ian..
