Conflicted Cinquain

Ego
Blatant monster
Destroys my inner peace
Leaves me anxious and full of fear
Villain

About This Poem

Last Few Words: Wanted to try a structured poem - found this Cinquain form within the depths of the poetry underground. Five lines progressing to 2 syllables, 4 syllables, 6 syllables, 8 syllables, and 2 syllables. First line is a noun, second line is a description of the noun, third line is the action of the noun, fourth line is the effect or feeling from the action, and the fifth and final line is a synonym for the initial noun. Loads of fun, and I hope it is properly written! Thank you!

It is fun to try something new. I think most of the time our egos play the biggest role in miscommunication. Thank you for the well wishes!
