Christmas Holiday 1963

Turmoil I cannot face
so I look at the sea surface
far into the distant horizon
none can my eyes trace
calm is the ocean today...

a dew drop in my lashes
washes my eye
none knows what it does next
as it rolls down my face

will my soul also remain
calm that way
I get up to smile
then see you standing in front of me
I cannot imagine how much you love me...

I shall return to call on
another day....
Happy Xmas for all today (2017)
That was the year 1963
gone down in memory
alive though a lovely holiday it is still...

I only wonder
if the judge did
he was supposed to comment
each poem

S

I suspect he Did read it although he didn't comment on it. (although in this case it was a she). the holiday season can get hectic though which leaves a lot of folks short of time to comment. I myself like this retrospective poem.......stan
