A Burning Desire

I’ve lived the dream, but the dream was dark
My eyes have been opened, by a bright spark
The spark in question, is ambition to thrive
Embers are memories, I won’t keep them alive
They will fade while the spark ignites hope
The flame is my passion, my passion to dream
Dreams that are light, not dark like the night.
This dream that I have, is all mapped out
A road map that shows that, I’m now on my way.
Thanks to the flame, I can now see the light
At the end of the tunnel, my life I will funnel
With my mind that splits, the good from the bad
And gives me a future, unlike the past I once had
It’s a burning desire, this scolding hot fire
In my soul, it’s my goal, to start moving higher.

but you seem to have lost the thread when you stopped rhyming. Then as you realized it, you started to rhyme again, but it was too late, the mood was broken. ~ Geezer.
