I don't know...
how I missed this one! I like the fast news station pace of it. Another well done for the "Light".
I would place the last two lines a little differently. Like so: "please stay tuned
we've got so much more"
~ Gee.

Gee
I took your advise on the last lines, thank you
I'm glad that the simplicity of some of my stuff doesn't put you off.
I write it, I post it, some like it, some don't
I guess that's the same for all of us
and the beat goes on....
Simplicity...
is the essence of most everything, it's people that make things complicated. I was asked one time, why don't I bet the football pool. I told them that I don't like having point spreads and all that. Your team either wins or it loses, that's the bottom line. I think everything in life is fifty-fifty, things either do or they don't and men should conduct themselves in that manner. Your poems are like that, they do or they don't appeal to one. I have yet to read one of your works that doesn't. ~ Gee.

from Candide, by Voltaire, 1756
"Do you believe," said Candide, "that men have always massacred one another as they do today, that they have always been liars, cheats, traitors, ingrates, brigands, idiots, thieves, scoundrels, gluttons, drunkards, misers, envious, ambitious, bloody-minded, debauchees, fanatics, hypocrites and fools?"
"Do you believe," said Martin, that hawks have always eaten pigeons when they have found them?"
"Without doubt" said Candide.
"Well, then," said Martin, if hawks have always had the same character, why should you imagine that men have changed theirs?"
I'm staying tuned, but don't expect too much...
You are much more erudite
You are much more erudite than I am or ever will be.
I was always academically lazy.
Any reading I did was exclusively non-fiction with no syllabus or goal.
I hardly remember any of the information any more than I remember every meal I have eaten.
Ah! human nature..."The same as it' ever was" ( "talking heads")
"No news is good news" ( twist that up in your mind )
thanks for your input,
