"The current rate of extinction is 100 to 1000 times higher than the average, or background
rate, making our current period the 6th major mass extinction in the planet's history."
at the expense of being human
the world is burning....
the aftermath of Civilizations,
less than empathetic
and intelligent
..
species vanish
a picture speaks for what the passenger
pigeon carried to the light of day,
the Barbary Lion roars no more
in savannah grassland
and the Golden Toad laughs with the
Laughing Owl laughing
unrepentant, there will be blood
and oil, here is the world we
co-create
here lies man in his killing fields
the Parrot of Paradise,
mocking his memory.

The list of the Endangered Species if frighteningly & astonishingly long. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/list-of-all-endangered-species.html
Humans may soon be added to the list, depending on what we do or don't do.

I more often than not am certain that *human beings* are not the epitome of creation, we're
pretty much hopeless unless love becomes our modern day religion.
Love for ourselves, love for one another and love for the planet and our place in history.
So far we've done everything as a species except wipe love off the face of the planet.
