The miriad of colors
In a fall scene...your poem made me think of all the fallen leaves and how each has its own distinct color...even though they may share a specific shade...much like gemstones. It is a shame the beauty only lasts a short while. Great haiku!
Hello, Carrie,
You are right - it's a shame it fades away so soon.
Thank you for reading!

I saved a leaf. It was from
I saved a leaf. It was from The War of the Worlds theatre production we went to see in Bournemouth a long time ago now.
Part of the set was to release paper leaves from the ceiling as Forever Autumn was sung on stage.
I still have the leaf, it brings back great memories and your poem, I take as a tribute to me ha ha.
Thank you, it stirred me and I could write an essay on this. Ruby :) xx
Hello, Ruby,
Watched "Forever Autumn" - very moving. The lyrics are so stirring. Thank you for sharing that memory! What a wonderful keepsake that leaf is for you. Glad if this brought back any of that feeling.
