Anarchy

If you could borrow my mind
for a time
You’d be perfectly in tune
with a practiced monsoon
Always in time
Collecting all the clocks
Spotting marks
as an afterthought
Confident in the man
that tricked the system back
Kicking the devil
out of all the best details
Terrified of treason
Suspicious and lonely
Only partly praying
to escape the pain
in the flood that follows
Never needing to bleed
all that much
Knowing that poetry
is anarchy of the first order
Finger painting with forces
you don’t fully understand

So I’m not sure who to attribute this quote to but I read this once and it stuck with me. This is paraphrased as I don’t remember the exact wording but it’s the concept that is important.

“Anarchy is not the absence of rule, it is the self realization that almost no person can even rule their own mind, let alone the minds of others.”

Poetry is a fine example of this. Try as you will you cannot know how the reader will interpret your writing.

Cool concept, good job
