Objectives: Write a short poem using IAMBIC PENTAMETER in English poetry.
In the end, absolute beginners should be more adept with METER in poetry and verse.

Level of expertise: Open to all

Subject matter: What is METER, IAMBIC, TROCHAIC, and PENTAMETER?

Description: Working With Titles

In this exercise, each participant is to write a list 5 titles for a poem and post them here. After you've written your list of titles, pick the one you want as a title for your poem, then choose 4 of other people's suggestions to incorporate in your poem.

All poems should be posted to the "Working With Titles" workshop.

Objectives:

To improve your writing skills. To re- write and post a poem that is in someone else’s style and therefore develop fresh ideas and a new perspective on your writing and its style. The idea is not to use someones re-write at the end of the workshop and call it your own.

Subject matter:

Up to 10 participants. First come first in, anyone who misses a place will be reserved a place in succeeding workshops. Applicants to apply by Private Message to Eduardo Cruz

Description:

Workshop for beginners. Here new poets and those just beginning to learn poetry can interact with each other and receive light feedback and ideas from each other and from the Moderators/Leaders. Main purpose of workshop is to help the attendees improve their own poetry and helping them with offering critique.

This is an open workshop for everyone and for all poetry. All poems (even those in other workshops) are included here. This workshop is for all members to help improve their poetry skills through critique from fellow members.
