read the submissions and vote for who most successfully created a serious, emotional, philosophical, political or whatever poem out of what is basically by form a humorous form. It is very, very hard to do. Read them and vote, with a very, very short explanation of why it worked so well.
I submitted my own but hey are clearly disqualified as workshop, leader.
Cone one, come all. This is a serious example of form versus content, nature versus nurture, and whether there is any real purpose in reading other people's poetry or if we are all just a bunch of wankers,
with a jolly cheerio, Please vote, with the URL, name and author for your preferred limerick at

My Vote
My Vote is for the following limerick submitted by Jess
My entire life is full of strife
the violence is unbearably rife
the scent of the blood
has become a flood
more than a gun or a knife.
War Hero by Gemma Stoner was a close second
There was a war hero from Fife
who found himself stuck with a knife
and a blitzkreig of boots
and without two hoots
his killer gets on with his life.
However since Jess has already withdrawn from the race being WS Leader, obviously my vote for Gemma Stoner be counted..
Thanks Jess for organizing this WS
Regards,
I should have made this clear
MY limericks are not part of the competition. I could not possibly accept them as workshop director, but thank you for your vote.
So I take your vote for Gemma's "War Hero"
