Nobody except admin has ever posted on the Neopoet.com page on Facebook. Are you able to? Please try it and let me know. I will try harder there but I am strangely de-motivated. It's like I am just trying to think up clever quotes about poetry to post. I would rather others posted there and engaged in conversation. Is the Facebook page set up wrong?
I'll give it a blast if you
I'll give it a blast if you like, as long as you don't mind if my contribution is more sort of chatty and less intellectual poetry.... Jx
Chatty is better than good
our Facebook page is meant to attract people to Neopoet, not replace it.
Jess
"Neopoet.com friends" if you put this in on Face book search there are 190 people that are on this site also another one just neopoet.com will bring up another page not sure which is the correct one,
Take care my friend, Yours Ian..
Neopoet.com is the right one
ignore all the others, I will try to get them closed.
Ian, did you create Neopoet.com friends on Facebook?
if so please delete it, the official Neopoet page on Facebook is
Neopoet.com
www.facebook.com/neopoet
Have been on to page and
Have been on to page and written a piece. However as a visitor to the site, it says write something on this page...... then shuffles it off elsewhere.
This doesn't seem a very good way of initiating discussion. Surely it's better to see stuff clearly, rather than have to search for it in a tiny box on the left?
Just saying.... Jx
Thank you so much,
I'll check it out.
Jane
Your write is in the visitors section on the left of the main page just click on it and it is there to read,
I think that we are all visiting and the main site is for the Neopoet news or other major information referring to Neopoet and where to find the main poetry workshop, Yours as always Ian..
Hi Ian
Yes I realised that, my point was that it isn't very welcoming for newcomers when the write your comment here box is centre stage, then it gets shuffled to the sideline. Just thought it would be better if all contributions were clearly visible. Also the visitor comment box doesn't scroll down very far, so older comments are lost. Jx
It seems to have bounced onto
It seems to have bounced onto the main page, but not sure if admin put it there.
Anyway, it's also on my facebook page as a public post, so will be seen by a few. Jx
i tell others of neo
but I know a lot of people with much other life business
and I do not know as many creative people
except here
on another site the poets are very private
young and personal not wanting to venture
it is their blog...raw emotion and brilliance
they dont even see it as poetry
but I do forming friendships
maybe poetry is like this
will have to think of how to promote
better
thank U for this!
I am going to do my best to make the Neopoet page on Facebook
I am going to do my best to make the Neopoet page on Facebook more friendly, but not too friendly. It is meant to promote Neopoet, not replace it. It is just too high maintenance and doesn't attract enough interest to keep it as a Neopoet news and notifications page only.
Esker, I don't think poetry is like this, most of the great poets and poetry movements in history have sprung from a community of poets, despite our reputation as being loners. That is what makes Neopoet so unique and great.
true!
but I still have the fringe element I like! personal opinion. But I do agree with the
sentiment and fact of how the other movements evolved....
thank U!
We almost all love the fringe
