I'm from a suburb a little outside of Orlando, Florida. I am probably one of the most versatile writers you'll ever meet, and I love the challenge of trying something new, and improving in all areas, but my roots are in free verse.
Out of 100 things I'd write, 98 of them would be personal. In other words, most of what I write is real. This is how I deal with the darkness: By making it into light. My style is slam/spoken-word, contemporary, metaphorical, and always evolving, but one thing that is constant is my soul.
Fun facts:
-I was a soccer referee for five years.
-I got my first poem published when I was 18.
-I played varsity soccer in high school.
-I was the copyeditor for yearbook and newspaper in high school for three years in a row.
-I've always wanted to fall in love with an artist. (I used to date a guy who makes music, and he has been a great inspiration for me to write more lyrics).
If you want to know anything else, then feel free to ask. I'm a pretty open, say-it-like-it-is kind of guy.
Thank you to the Neopoet crew for having me here as well as the warm welcome. And thank you to all Neopoet writers for making this a great place for sharing and commenting on poetry and other material.
