miscreant's cry

`

when
a
soul's cry
is
released
in
words
chosen
and picked

and
there
beauty
in
articulation find....

the
soul
has
bridged
a gap
that
touches both
heart and mind....

I am entranced by your second sentence... it doesn't strike me as a messianic wish but an act of pure friendship and is perfect if one is to the other what the other is to them, specially in times of adversity. An impressive blessing that would be, indeed. Regards, CB

Smooth and polished ! Thoughtful, emotional, and succinct! What more could one ask for? I was on the fence about your title, until I reread the poem a couple of times. Then I understood that the 'miscreant' was asking for forgiveness.

It wasn't an easy task picking the title of this poem. In fact, if I recall correctly, in this instance the title came before the poem... thus making the poem the difficult bit to match. But I don't think that works quite the same way the other way around. And the plea of forgiveness is, I suppose, just as universal as the pronouncement of affection. Thanks for reading, commenting, and supporting this poem. CB

My Heart and Mind
Have sprung
Your poem has won them
Both now my heart mind
And soul
All integrate in one
What will you call them now?
Let me know

Thy words steal my heart
And
In steel I’m bound
Your imagination is profound
Tis good
A poetic friend
In you I’ve found
